Online Learning Platform

PROBLEM STATEMENT

During a pandemic, the education system has been shifted to the online platform from offline.

As a class 12th Student, I want to go to the PATHSALA website where I can do the following work

1. As a student, I want to see the schedule of my all live classes (physics, chemistry, Maths, Biology), recorded classes, and tests. I can join the live classes and test from there itself.

2. I want to see the digital study materials of my subjects.

3. I can see the notice issued by the school related to exams, tests, books, etc.

SOLUTION

As a class 12 student, I would like to use a more usable and smooth platform to learn online, where I do not have to worry more about the functionality and excess of my study material and videos, basically smooth sailing through the portal.

So to provide a better user experience I have created a few screens for the PATHSHALA website.

Below are all the screens.

Schedule of a student, with all the classes of a weak

This screen shows what the schedule of all the LIVE classes a student is having for a weak will look like. Different colors represent different subjects.

shows the complete detail of the following LIVE class

While a student will hover the cursor on any of these scheduled LIVE classes, it will represent complete information of the meeting like which subject? what time? which chapter? and the link to connect directly to the class.

This screen represents all the recorded classes

Here all the earlier recorded classes are present which a student can view multiple times. Here user can add their favorite classes and important videos for future reference.

Also, users can search with chapter name or subject name.

Representing how the recorded class will look

This screen represents how a recorded class will play for users. This will show all the topics on the left-hand side. Also, the user can create their own personal notes, ask questions through a discussion forum and find the attached transcript of the video.

All the study material provided by the school

Here I have divided all the study material into three parts Course books, reference books, and teacher's notes. Which saves time for a user to differentiate between all the books and notes.

Also, here we can see if users hover on the left side, they can see all the menus in detail.

Representing all the tests and exam user have in an academic year

This screen represents all types of tests users have in the academic year and by clicking on these tabs they can land directly on the test screen.

Bulletin board for all types of notices

This screen represents categorized notices provided by the school and with the dates, they have been uploaded. With the help of these dates, users can even search the notices they are looking for.

CONCLUSION

This is my representation of what an online portal might look like for a school-going student.
